Our Firm

In year 1988, our firm was founded in Muar, Johor by Mr Lim Swee Chong under the name of S.C. Lim & Co. In year 1997, we set up an office in Kuala Lumpur. Since year 2005, our firm’s name has been changed to SC Lim, Ng & Co. after Mr Ng Kim Kiat being promoted and admitted as new partner. In year 2019, we set up another office in Labuan and Mr Faam Chang Pooh has been promoted and admitted as new partner. In year 2020, we have set up the internal audit division which led by Mr Yap Ping Hong and Ms Venus Tan. In year 2021, Mr Zee Kum Ming has also promoted and admitted as new parter. In year 2023, our firm’s name was changed to SC Lim, Ng & Co PLT following our conversion from conventional partnership to a limited liability partnership.

Our audit approach entails an assessment of the risks which potentially affecting the financial statements. We focus on the financial statements areas where there are significant risks of material misstatements.

We make it our business to understand yours, advising you and making recommendations regarding the development of your business. In addition, we provide constructive feedback over the financial reporting processes that adds value to your business.

About Us

Our Offices

Currently, the firm operates three offices in Kuala Lumpur, Muar Johor and Labuan. Kuala Lumpur office is headed by the Partner, Mr Faam Chang Pooh and Muar office is headed by the Partner, Mr Ng Kim Kiat, whereas Labuan office is headed by the Manager, Ms Foh Meng Yuet.

Key Personnel

Lim Swee Chong

Lim Swee Chong is the founding partner of SC Lim, Ng & Co PLT. He holds a degree with double majors in Accountcy & Information Systems from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is presently a member of the Malaysia Institution of Accountants (MIA), Malaysian Institute of Taxation and the Institue of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. He is also a fellow Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) with the CPA Australia, a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a CPA registered with the Singapore Institute of CPA. He has over 30 years experience in auditing, corporate tax planning, financial accounting, company secretarial and advisory services. However, he has retired since January 2016.

Faam Chang Pooh

Mr Faam Chang Pooh, the partner of SC Lim, Ng & Co PLT overseeing our Kuala Lumpur office. He is a member of Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) with the CPA Australia and Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He has over 25 years experience particularly in auditing, corporate tax planning, financial accounting, company secretarial and advisory services.

Ng Kim Kiat

Mr Ng Kim Kiat, the partner of SC Lim, Ng & Co PLT overseeing our Muar office. He is a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He has over 30 years experience particularly in auditing, financial accounting and advisory services and he also involved in the initial public offering exercise.

Foh Meng Yuet

Ms Foh Meng Yuet, the principal of SC Lim, Ng & Co PLT overseeing our Labuan office. She is a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). She has over 15 years experience particularly in auditing, financial accounting and advisory services.

Zee Kum Ming

Mr Zee Kum Ming, the junior partner of SC Lim, Ng & Co PLT based in Kuala Lumpur office. He is a member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA). He has over 10 years experience particularly in auditing, financial accounting and advisory services.
